Challenge
Biology, chemistry and physics are exact sciences. But selling materials
relating to those topics is not. EduSci is a company that sells those
educational products. And they needed to show and distribute their products in
a way that not only helped capture imaginations, but also made those difficult
subjects fun.
The goal with EduSci was to help the company succeed with their product line
through brand awareness, market share and heightened revenue. We wanted EduSci
to come to us with a philosophy that we could help them execute. With EduSci
being a relatively new company, we wanted to help them not only establish a
corporate identity, but also help with branding, packaging, brochures and trade
show materials. EduSci didn’t have a Web site and as the company grew, a web presence became important.
Process
EduSci’s products offered a wealth of opportunity from a design, and marketing
standpoint. We were able to help EduSci with nearly every phase of its
branding.
EduSci came to us without a logo, and we designed it from the ground up and
arrived at the finished product in fewer than 10 drafts. The logo captured the
essence of what client was looking for and was very well received in the
industry.
We decided on the inspiring slogan “Something Incredible Is About To Happen.” This slogan showed the potential that EduSci’s products can help students realize in an educational setting. These products
are made for experimenting, and in experimentation there is always potential
for something incredible to happen.
We also took individual aspects of the company and attached a feel to it through
color-coding. We gave each category of product a unique color to establish a
uniform feel for each of the different subjects.
Very important to EduSci was the new Web site. We strived to make their site
optimized and user friendly, so users could get what they needed within two
clicks. Clients can also download forms and be put on a mailing list.
Solution
EduSci didn’t just come to us for packaging or marketing materials. The company was looking
for people who shared the same trust and core values that they had. And through
that trust, we were able to come up with the end result, which was not only
elegant and effective, but also affordable. Client feedback on EduSci’s packaging and products has been overwhelmingly positive. And the company
realized the importance that marketing has now and in the future.
